Dark Skies Productions is the website of freelance Director, Cameraman, Editor & Photographer Steve Hammal. Employed in the film & television industry for over a decade, I've worked for such high profile companies as the BBC, ITV, Dimension Films and Paramount Pictures. After graduating in the late 1990's with a degree in Film & Television Production, I perfected my skills through work on Hollywood blockbusters (including Tombraider with Angelina Jolie), broadcast news, corporate video (including product launch films, training videos, business profile films, talking head interviews), commercials, virals and short films.

I'm highly trained and experienced in all areas of film production from initial idea/concept creation, through scriptwriting & planning, filming using the latest cameras & formats to editing & final delivery. As a dynamic, creative and experienced filmmaker I've produced film & video productions for such companies as Microsoft, Volkswagen, Bounty.com, Yell.com, Haagen Dazs, Autodesk and Touch Local, as well as countless promos for a host of independent businesses and companies.

My short films have won awards and screened in festivals in Australia, London, Switzerland, France and USA.
